Episcopal Homes Foundation

"We're as good as we are today because friends like you supported us yesterday."

Back in 1894, our founder and inspiration, Sister Annette Relf, went door-to-door asking for the gifts she needed to fulfill her mission. Friends like you have been responding to our knock ever since, and we depend on your gifts as Sister Annette did to fulfill our mission.

Episcopal Homes Foundation is responsible for directing all of our fund raising and planned giving programs, and for making grants to our residences in support of projects that enhance the quality of life for the residents we serve. We will invest your gifts prudently to help secure the future and further the mission of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota.

If you wish to support our mission, simply choose the giving program that works best for you. All gifts are tax deductible as provided by law.

Annual Gifts

There's no such thing as a gift that's too small! Every dollar makes a difference. You can mail us a check or contribute online (see below). Gifts of stock or other securities are also welcome. Your gifts can be made in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one, or even a favorite staff member. You also have the option of designating that your gifts be used to support a specific Episcopal Homes residence or mission initiative with which you feel a special connection. Unrestricted (non-designated) gifts allow us to direct resources toward the areas of greatest need throughout our organization.

Support our mission with an online donation!

Planned Gifts

Planned Gifts allow you to make a lasting contribution to Episcopal Homes and take advantage of favorable federal and state tax laws at the same time:

Reduce your income tax, including capital gains

Reduce transfer taxes including gift and estate

Create income for yourself and your loved ones

Planned gifts can take several forms:

Bequests. Your bequest can be outlined in a will, will codicil or revocable living trust. Bequests can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue of the estate.

Designated Beneficiary. You can designate Episcopal Homes Foundation as beneficiary to all or any portion of a bank account, retirement or pension plan, or insurance policy.

Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA). A charitable gift annuity (CGA) is an irrevocable contribution where, in exchange for a gift of stock or cash, you receive both a tax deduction and a guaranteed income for the rest of your life. Your annuity payments are based on the amount of your gift, your age, and the return rates set by law.

Sister Annette Relf Legacy Society

As a participant in one of our planned giving programs, you will automatically be enrolled in the Sister Annette Relf Legacy Society. The Sister Annette Society was established to acknowledge and thank donors who have made planned gifts to Episcopal Homes. It provides a way for us to celebrate the generosity of these very special people within their lifetimes.

To explore the possibilities of making a planned gift, please contact Judy Alcott, our Director of Development. Everything that is discussed will be held in the strictest confidence.

IMPORTANT

Tax Deductibility. All contributions to Episcopal Homes Foundation, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.

Donor Privacy. It's absolute. All donor information, including name, contact information and contribution will be held in the strictest confidence if requested. Your gifts will be directed toward supporting the areas of greatest need throughout our organization or any specific area(s) you designate.
