>>> Concerts at Coventry Chapel

Coventry Chapel adjoins Cornelia House. You are invited to join our residents (your neighbors) at these free concerts. If you are not a resident, family member, staff or board member, simply RSVP to Julie Niewald at 651-288-3930 or jniewald@ehomesmn.org. More dates will be added as they are confirmed. All performances run about 1 hour. Cookies, punch and lively conversation follow every performance.

               THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2012 (7 P.M.)

Artaria Chamber Music School Concert! The Artaria Chamber Music

School is the area's premiere string program for junior and senior high

prodigies. Close your eyes, and you'll think you're at the Ordway. Our

musical future is in good hands!  NOTE: This is an evening concert.

               SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2012 (2 P.M.)

Mel Carter & Friends Return! Six of the Twin Cities' top interpreters

of music from the swing band era, featuring our own Melvin Carter on

trumpet. A big favorite with our crowd - join us and you'll see why!

Remember, "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!"

               SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2012 (2 P.M.)

The Cedar Lake Seven Return! Their music draws from the radio gospel

quartets of the 1940's and 50's, groups such as the Fairfield Four, Sam

Cooke and the Soul Stirrers, and the Golden Gate Quartet. Primarily

a'cappella, the concerts are an uplifting blend of old spirituals and

exciting rhythms. Learn more at www.cl7.com.

               SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2012 (2 P.M.) - St. Patrick's Day!

The Two Tap Trio! We always wear our musical green in March, but this

year, our concert will actually be ON St. Patrick's Day! The Two Tap Trio

is a staple at The Celtic Junction, which is as Irish as it gets here in

Minnesota. The trio will be accompanied by dancers from Rince na Chroi,

Saint Paul's premier Irish dance school.

               SUNDAY, APRIL 1, 2012 (2 P.M.)

Indånde Returns! Indånde is a Danish word that means "breathe" - a

perfect name for a trio featuring an oboe, flute and our Steinway. Amy

Morris (flute) is music faculty at Hamline. Mark Seerup (oboe) and Mary

Goetz (Steinway) are highly regarded area musicians. Delightful!

To learn more about Indånde, visit www.indande.com.

               THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 2012 (7 P.M.)

Artaria Chamber Music School Concert! The Artaria Chamber Music

prodigies. Close your eyes, and you'll think you're at the Ordway. Our

musical future is in good hands!  NOTE: This is an evening concert.

               SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2012 (2 P.M.)

Bruce Henry Encore! When Chicago-based Bruce Henry comes to

town, he often headlines Friday and Saturday nights at The Dakota Jazz

Club in downtown Minneapolis. His three-octave vocal range (and the soul

behind it) transforms every song he touches - and every song touches

the hearts and the dancing feet of our crowd! Visit www.bruceahenry.com.
